Since 1996, Aquàtica has been offering peace of mind, good service and professionalism so that you can enjoy diving outings in L’Estartit and the Montgrí, Medes Islands and Baix Ter Natural Park as well as diving courses. Since 2017, the diving center has been housed in our campsite.

It has large facilities. There is an area in which you can get changed, have a shower, get rid of the salt and store all your equipment, known as the “campa”. It also has its own classroom equipped with all the SSI teaching elements for theoretical sessions and audiovisual material. It has its own swimming pool for your first contact with your equipment during the diving course.

The name of the vessel in which you will carry out this activity is Maria Mir. This boat, which holds up to 18 divers (authorised for 25 places) has a large deck to make it easy to put on your equipment and get into the water. You will be taken by van from the campsite to the boat and back again.

All our dives are by boat and within the Parc Natural del Montgrí i les Illes Medes. We limit the number of divers per trip to be able to dive quietly and with comfort, both on the boat and underwater. And in addition, we do two or three small groups, accompanied by one of us, to dive between fish… and not between divers!

And all this with the idea of offering you a RESPECTFUL diving, about the environment and about divers themselves.

RESPECT: c.1300, from Latin respectus “regard,” literally “act of looking back at one,” past participle of respicere “look back at, regard, consider,” from re- “back” + specere “look at”. To feel or show deferential regard for; esteem for something or someone because of merit, rank, knowledge, age, importance, etc.

Ever since the beginning of our venture at the diving center in L’Estartit and Medes Islands, we have strived to apply respect to our diving. Respectful diving should arise from love for the seabed and should lead to a struggle to minimize our impact.
